Terms of Service

Before our visit

 Our usual travel area is Weymouth to Corfe Castle (Dorset) and the surrounding area (see our map for further details). We can travel further by special arrangement.


We will have an initial discussion with you to agree your requirements and arrange dates for our visit and payment. We ask that you provide us with a grave number or location for our visit if you are able to.


Payent must be made in full before the service can begin.

  

By instructing us to work on your loved one’s grave, you are confirming that we have permission to do so. We will not be liable for problems arising from the provision of a service other than through our own fault.

Our Visit

We will always abide by the regulations of any cemetery or graveyard in which we are working.


We will schedule our first visit within 10 days of payment being taken.  This may include weekends depending on our availability. 


If you wish us to do so, we will try to visit on specific dates such as birthdays, Mother’s Day etc, subject always to availability and weather conditions. 


On arrival, we will locate the grave and inspect its condition. We will take our “before” photos. 


If we suspect any structural or other damage that could result in harm to us or the grave, we will notify you immediately. We will be unable to carry out the work on the grave and may charge you a Cancellation Fee.


We will always provide photographs via text or WhatsApp of the grave before and after the care service. 


A standard bouquet or wreath is included in our price and will be laid at the base of the headstone or in a vase already on the grave. You may choose from fresh or silk flowers but please bear in mind that both fresh and silk will be exposed to the elements at all times and may have a limited lifespan. We will always do our very best to match any colours you request but, if this is not possible, we reserve the right to substitute for an item or equal or greater value whilst bearing in mind your wishes.


If you would like us to source particular plants (for example a small tree at Christmas), we will make an additional charge. We will discuss this in advance of our visit and agree the cost with you.

Legal

We are not responsible for any loss or damage that occurs after we have carried out your work.

We are insured for public liability up to the sum of £1,000,000.

Cancellation Fee

We are a small business and will always incur costs for travelling to a grave location or being unable to take a booking due to a prior commitment on another grave, which is then cancelled. Regrettably, we therefore reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £20 in the following circumstances:


  1. You cancel less than 48 hours before a scheduled visit
  2. The grave cannot be located within the first 15 minutes of the visit
  3. On inspection, we discover that the grave is not in a condition to be treated and/or may result in harm to ourselves or the grave


In the event of reasons 2 or 3, we will provide video evidence to you.
